NAOC MD visits NCDMB, Assures of New Tempo of Activities

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote on Tuesday received the new Managing Director of Nigerian Agip Oil Company Ltd (NOAC), Mr. Fabrizio Bloomfied at the Abuja liaison office.

The Managing Director was accompanied by the General Manager Nigerian Content Development (NCD) Nigerian Agip Oil Company, (NAOC), Dr. Richard Orianzi, and the General Manager of Public Affairs (PAF), Mr. Barry Nwibani.

The meeting was a courtesy visit by NAOC to introduce the new Managing Director, who is also the Vice Chairman of the oil company to the Executive Secretary.

Welcoming the team, the NCDMB boss expressed concern with the absence of NAOC at the Board’s recent conferences and events, pointing out that the firm has made little to no appearances at many industry activities in the recent past. He added that his recent visit to the company’s facilities raised his concerns because it appeared as if the operations of the firm were being shut down.

The new Managing Director assured that the company’s activities will soon pick up soon. Also speaking, the General Manager of Public Affairs (PAF), Mr. Barry Nwibani recalled that the Executive Secretary plays the role of a father figure to most stakeholders of the oil and gas industry. He added that the Board and NAOC have had a fruitful and collaborative relationship that would be sustained.
